What does asbestos testing cost? +
A single-sample test is typically in the low hundreds of dollars including site visit, collection, lab fee, and written report. Whole-property inspections with multiple samples scale from there. Commercial audits scope to the building size. We quote in writing before any work starts.
Do you handle the whole job — testing through removal? +
Yes. Because we hold both A-Class and B-Class removal licences and do the inspection-side work too, one team can take a job from the first sample through removal, disposal, and demolition to the final clearance. One contractor, one set of paperwork, no gaps where something gets missed between firms.
Who's qualified to sign the reports and do the work? +
Removal and demolition are carried out under our Workplace Health and Safety Queensland A-Class (friable) and B-Class (non-friable) licences. Inspection, audit, and clearance work is done by a licensed Asbestos Assessor, with sample analysis through a NATA-accredited laboratory partner.
Can I just buy a home test kit? +
There are kits sold online but the results don't meet legal or regulatory standards. NATA-accredited lab analysis is the only result a council, insurer, or court will accept. And collecting samples yourself disturbs the material — if it really is asbestos, you've now exposed yourself.
