Why asbestos and demolition belong together

Separating the asbestos removal from the demolition means two contractors, two mobilisations, and a gap where something gets missed. Because we hold both A-Class and B-Class removal licences, the asbestos is dealt with and the structure comes down under a single control plan — with the inspection, removal, disposal, and clearance all documented as one job. That's faster, cheaper, and cleaner on paper if a regulator, insurer, or buyer ever asks.

Demolition — FAQs

Why use an asbestos specialist for demolition? +
If a structure was built before the mid-1980s, it almost certainly contains asbestos — and you can't demolish around it. The asbestos has to be identified and removed under licence first, or the demolition itself has to be carried out as licensed asbestos work. Using a specialist who holds both A-Class and B-Class licences means the asbestos and the demolition are handled by one team, under one plan.
Do you do full house demolition? +
We handle demolition where asbestos is the controlling factor — sheds, garages, lean-tos, and structures where bonded or friable ACM is present throughout. For a full house demolition we remove the asbestos under licence and coordinate the structural demolition so the whole job is compliant and documented. Tell us the structure and we'll scope it.
What about the waste? +
Asbestos-contaminated demolition waste is regulated waste. It's wrapped, transported, and disposed of through a licensed facility with tracking receipts — see our disposal service. You get the documentation that proves the site was cleared lawfully.
Do I need testing before demolition? +
Yes — a pre-demolition inspection is required to identify ACM before any structure built before 31 December 2003 comes down. We can do the inspection and sampling first (see our testing and inspection services), then remove and demolish — so the whole sequence stays with one team.
