Services / Asbestos Disposal

Licensed asbestos disposal.

Asbestos is regulated waste — it can't go in a skip or a normal tip run. We package, transport, and dispose of it through a licensed facility, and you get the disposal receipts that prove the waste was dealt with lawfully.

What disposal covers

  • Correct double-wrapping, sealing, and labelling of bonded and friable waste
  • Asbestos-contaminated soil and debris from a removal job
  • Licensed transport — sealed, secured, and tracked
  • Tipping at a licensed asbestos disposal facility
  • Disposal receipts and chain-of-custody documentation

Disposal is included as standard on every removal we do — this page is for when disposal is what you specifically need, including waste from work another contractor has already done.

Wrapped and labelled asbestos waste ready for licensed disposal

Why it can't just go in the bin

Asbestos waste is classed as regulated waste under Queensland environmental law. Putting it in general waste, burying it, or dumping it is an offence — and it puts waste handlers and the public at risk. Licensed disposal closes the loop on a removal: the material leaves your site, goes to a facility licensed to receive it, and you hold the paper trail that says so.

Asbestos disposal — FAQs

Can I take asbestos to the tip myself? +
Only some council facilities accept asbestos waste, only by prior booking, and only when it's correctly wrapped and labelled. You also have to transport it legally, which means sealed, secured, and not breaking up in transit. For anything more than a small, well-wrapped bonded load, licensed transport and disposal is safer and removes the compliance risk from you.
How is asbestos waste packaged? +
Asbestos waste must be double-wrapped in 200µm polythene, sealed, and labelled as asbestos before it leaves the site. Friable waste and contaminated soil have stricter containment requirements. We package to the standard the disposal facility and the regulation require, so the load is accepted without issue.
What's chain of custody and why does it matter? +
Chain of custody is the documented trail from your site to a licensed disposal facility — what was removed, how much, who transported it, and where it was tipped. The disposal receipts are your proof that the waste was dealt with lawfully. Councils, builders, and insurers ask for them to close out a job.
Do you dispose of waste from removals you didn't do? +
Yes — if asbestos has already been removed and correctly wrapped, we can arrange licensed transport and disposal of it. If it isn't packaged to standard, we'll re-package it (or remove it properly first) so it can be legally accepted at the facility.
